I Come Prepared

Here I sit armed with a cup of coffee and a bowl of Chef Boyardee cheese ravioli hoping to battle through my lack of sleep and actually get some house work done. I don't know how well I'll manage but Justin asked his mom if she would watch Nicholas for the day and she agreed so at least I have one less obstacle. Wish me luck :).

Down for the Count

I just finished giving Nicholas a bath, mind you he didn't like getting a bath today, and he was looking a little tired so I fed him and put him down in his crib for a nap. To my surprise he is now asleep. I went in expecting a struggle and came out with something I didn't quite expect.
On another subject. Justin still isn't back yet so I'm still sitting here waiting for my milkshake that he promised me. Hopefully it will ease the pain of the horrid blister I have on the back of my tongue from all the throwing up I've been doing. One can only hope :/.

On the Move

Justin just left for his parents house to take them their tackle box so I'm here taking care of Mr. Boog. I woke up feeling sick and wound up staying in bed until about noon but I'm feeling better now so chasing after Nicholas, who as you might have guessed has gotten really active lately, won't be as much of a trial as I originally thought. Don't get me wrong, it'll still be tiring considering the fact that I'm still in the first trimester of my pregnancy but at least I'm not sick :P.
I'll try to write more later but I have to go for now. The threat of Nicholas knocking over the vacuum has come into light.

Morning Sickness

I wonder why doctors and scientists decided to call the extreme nausea and vomiting you experience while pregnant 'Morning Sickness' because it certainly doesn't only happen in the morning. I'm on alert 24/7 when it comes to morning sickness. Sometimes it hits at 7 o' clock in the morning, sometimes it hits in the afternoon, sometimes in the evening, and if I'm really lucky it hits at 3:30 AM right as I finally decide to lay down and try to sleep!

Insomnia

Nicholas is at Justin's parents house for the night so we both got a bit of a break but instead of being snuggled up in bed with Justin I'm sitting here typing this, wide awake at 1:27 AM. I seriously can't wait for the first trimester of my pregnancy to be over and for the insomnia to cease, at least until I reach the third trimester. Of course I'll still be getting up every hour to use the bathroom but at least I'll be able to get sleep in between. The only time I seem to be able to get any sleep at all is from around 8 AM to noon. That sleep, of course, consists of cat naps since Nicholas wakes up at around 7:30 or so and falls back to sleep around 9:00. Between the constant morning sickness and the lack of sleep I can already tell that this pregnancy isn't going to be an easy one.
